In her own words:
Throughout my childhood and early adult life, never understood why people had guns.
I grew up in a small town and was raised in a single parent household by my mother.
The only time I would ever hear about guns was on the local news when a
crime was committed. It wasn't until I met my husband, Joe Dement, that
my entire perception changed. It was at this point that I finally understood
how so many people could be misinformed and completely blind to the
positive side of gun ownership. I am so thankful for my transformation
and the opportunities that shooting sports have given me. I have met
some of the most influential people in my life competing at shooting
events. I'm so thankful that I was introduced to this sport and that I
am able to participate in something I enjoy so much!
